GovWell is a passwordless system, meaning you don’t need to set or remember a password to access your account! All you need is your email address or mobile phone number to set up and log in to your GovWell account.
📫 Email Verification
Typically, email verification is the method most users use to log in. After setting up your account (for a full guide on how to do this, please refer to our 'How to Create Your GovWell Account' guide here), you can easily log in by entering your email address in the 'Email Address' field and pressing 'Continue.'
A confirmation email titled 'Sign in to GovWell' will be sent to your inbox. Click the 'Sign in to GovWell' button in the email to open a new tab and access your account!
It’s worth noting that you typically won’t need to repeat this process every day unless you're using a shared computer—the system can keep you logged in between sessions!
Troubleshooting Access Issues
If you encounter difficulties while trying to log back into your GovWell account, consider these solutions:
Restart Browser or Switch Browsers: Close and reopen your browser or try using a different one.
Request a New Login Link: If the initial login link does not work, request another one and check your email inbox for the new link provided.
📌 Note: Login links expire as soon as a new link is requested - when attempting multiple times, be sure to use the most recent link.
Clear Cache and Cookies: Clear your browser’s cache and cookies before attempting to use the new login link.
🔄 Single Sign On (SSO)
If you prefer, you can also sign in using Single Sign-On (SSO) by clicking the Google or Microsoft buttons on the sign-in page. You can then use your Google or Microsoft account linked to your GovWell account to log in!
📱 Phone Verification
Lastly, another option to sign in is using the mobile phone number linked to your GovWell account. Simply click the 'Use phone' option to get started.
Next, enter your mobile phone number and press 'Continue'. A field will appear for you to enter a code — check your text messages for the code! Once entered, you'll be signed in to your GovWell account.
